Large rear garden, kids play area, short walk to castle entrance
The accommodation is basic, with tired decor needing refreshing!!! The electric heater doesn't provide enough drying space for towels, making it a hassle !!! Live music on weekends creates significant noise disturbances!!!

Ask about the lovely garden seating area for a peaceful drink away from the bar rush.

Cozy bar area featuring local ales that hit the spot after a long trek. Outdoor seating offers a nice vibe, with a children's play area that keeps the little ones entertained, though a quick safety check wouldn't hurt.
The floors creak like the Millennium Falcon in a dogfight, making for an audible stay when someone moves above. The temperatures in the attic room were less than comfortable upon arrival, needing both a wall panel heater and an oil heater just to reach tolerable levels. The tiny ensuite? More of a cold locker than a bathroom, with no heating and a shower stall as cramped as a Jawa's den. the leaky shower head could really use a fix. The lack of a lift means navigating at least five flights of stairs with bags can be a workout. Expect some noise from the pub, especially if you're near the patio. good luck finding peace post-midnight.

missingWrote a review on Aug 14stunning viewscomfortable setupdamp bathroom
The location offers stunning views and proximity to local attractions, perfect for exploring nearby sights. The room featured a comfortable setup with ample space, making it enjoyable to unwind after a day of local adventures.
While the room had potential, it lacked the promised superior features and felt more standard than anything else. The dampness in the bathroom lingered, making it uncomfortable, and finding the right signage for cleaning services wasn't straightforward. Dining options were decent for breakfast, but snacks and lunches left a bit to be desired, as alternatives nearby tended to shine more.

Family adventure awaits
The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, especially Jo, who went out of her way to bring us some freshly made chips even after the kitchen had closed! The breakfast was fantastic, with eggs cooked to perfection, and you could definitely feel the homey vibe in the place, just like walking into family expecting a warm welcome.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but still decent enough for what we got.

The location of The Cornishman is excellent. Right in the heart of Tintagel, perfect for exploring. My room was cozy, with a comfy bed and well-equipped with tea, coffee, and even sweet biscuits. Breakfast stood out, especially the full English with high-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. the room could use some TLC. A few stains on the carpet and the bathroom needed attention. While I appreciated the free Wi-Fi, the shower lacked consistent hot water. The pub area felt a bit dated with an unpleasant smell of smoke wafting in from outside. Would happily return for the warm atmosphere and great food, just hoping for some upgrades in cleanliness and facilities.

The stay was pleasant and central to everything we wanted to see, including the Old Post Office just a short walk away. The breakfast was ample and delicious, cooked perfectly, making our mornings enjoyable. the staff were incredibly accommodating, providing helpful tips on local attractions. we did encounter a bit of a muddle with the room arrangements, and initially, the hot water was unavailable, which was frustrating.
